Angelo Poliziano, a Florentine humanist, in document 10 gives us a good example of how some women empowered themselves to advance. He compares her writing and her behavior to that of a typical women of the time. He urges women to continue to advance despite the situation at the time. He uses an example of Giovanni Andrea and his daughter to show how women could be just as intelligent as men.

In conclusion, I believe the answer to the infamous question, "Did women have a Renaissance", must surely be yes, but not necessarily the same Renaissance as that of the men. An active part in this was humanism, which gave them greater access to education. Their religious lives were transformed, but in different ways from that of men. With the many advancements culturally I would infer that women of the Renaissance had a Renaissance of their own in terms of culture and social status but did not have any significant change in economic and political status.
