The Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome better known as AIDS, is caused by the HIV virus. This incurable disease has affected more than thirty million people worldwide and will continue affecting millions of lives if we do not do anything to stop it (Berkow). AIDS is not a disease that should be taken lightly or that should be ignored because it has been around since the early 1980's and it is taking too many lives away. AIDS does not just affect teenagers or adults it also affects millions of children worldwide and unfortunately thousands of children have died due to this virus. Many babies are even born with this terrible virus because their mothers are infected and they pass it onto them. It is sad to say that as the years go by the number of people infected with such a virus has increased and yet medicine has not been able to find a cure for it even though they have been close. There are several ways someone can get infected with AIDS having sexual relations with someone that is infected with this virus is one of them. If we want this virus to stop spreading onto others then we should promote safe sex so the probabilities of getting infected decreases. This epidemic has been growing as the years go by so the state
