A war once took place that shapes everything America is today, from the way we live to the things we do. This war started in 1775 and is named for its outcome, the American Revolution. The events that unfolded to start the revolution were often costly and gory, many of which were actions of British troops, and the colonist’s reactions to those actions. This was the beginning of the construction of America.
After the French and Indian War, British rule was looking for a way to gain income to settle previous debts. Their eyes and open moneybags were turned towards the newly settled Americas, in which colonists resided with many resources. The Parliament settled on the “Stamp Act”, an act that required colonists to purchase special stamped paper for every legal document, license, newspaper, pamphlet, and almanac, and imposed special “stamp duties” on packages of pla
