Rainman
In the movie "Rainman", Dustin Hoffman played the part of Raymond Bobbitt, a young man with autism. Tom Cruise played the part of Charlie Bobbitt, Raymond's younger brother. Raymond was institutionalized At Walbrook when Charlie was only two years old. His name was never mentioned while Charlie was growing up and he never knew he had a brother.
At the age of sixteen, Charlie had asked to use his father's '49 Buick convertible and was refused. Therefore, Charlie took the convertible without permission. Finding the car gone, Charlie's father reported the car stolen. Charlie was apprehended and his father let him sit in jail for two days before paying his bail. When Charlie was released, he left home and didn't look back.
On his way back to Palm Springs with his girlfriend, Charlie learns of his father's death in Cincinnati, Ohio. Even though he had not had much communication with his father for a number of years, Charlie immediately headed for Ohio to attend the funeral. Charlie believed that he was an only child.
