Child Labor
Child labor: corrosive for its consequences
Child labor is a pervasive problem throughout the world, especially in developing countries. Africa and Asia together account for over 90 percent of total child employment. Working children are the objects of extreme exploitation in terms of toiling for long hours for minimal pay. Their work conditions are especially severe, often not providing the stimulation for proper physical and mental development. Many of these children endure lives of pure deprivation. Child labor should not be use as a way of creating income for a family. Child labor is corrosive for its consequences, is cruel to children, and constitutes an insult to human dignity. Child labor is considered as one of the principal ways of abuse against many children around the world.
