The various programs broadcasted by the television can really help in the intellectual development of a child. Television gives a lot of information about things ranging from animal life, cultures, science and technology and as a whole, of our world and our lives.

Thus, we can say that the children who watch television can grow more quickly intellectually than those who cannot get access to television. Even large numbers of schools and colleges have adopted what has commonly come to be known as 'audio-visual' means of teaching. This is because the children can get a more lasting impression on the subject matter and things will be much more easier if they get to watch it on the television unlike reading. This happens to be the positive effects of television on the children.
