The topic that I have chosen to research is on the exploitation of woman in sweet shops, also known as maquiladoras. One of the main reasons that I have chosen to research this topic is for the simple facts that I did not realize that it is still a problem today. It was not until earlier this year when my aunt shared with me a story about a good friend of hers that was exploited in a maquiladora. My aunts’ friend worked in a maquiladora located just south of the Texas border.
