Love Of The Game
Professional baseball athletes should receive a lower salary and place more emphasis on the “love of the game.” Even though some may place more emphasis on the “love of the game,” most participate for the money that is involved. Money in sports is an emotional issue among professional athletes and spectators.
Professional players are supposed to bring an audience. All over the United States spectators line up to ballparks to watch and discover entertaining ways of play. In essence, professional baseball players are similar to actors, as they are full of drama. When professional players play for the “love of the game,” they are bringing these attractions to sports. So why worry about so much money when you have thousands of people wanting to back you up and chant your name?
Should professional baseball players be paid so much? Do they deserve it?
