Since the Church is a mystery we use images are used in order for us to understand it better. Three of the most important images are; People of God; Body of God &; Temple of God. In the next few paragraphs I will summarize each of these images. The People of God begins with its roots in the Old Covenant. This new covenant is made up by everyone who wishes to be part of a unity in the Holy Spirit. We enter the People of God by baptism and faith, our faith that we belong to God. Jesus is the head; he gives us the privilege to live the law of love and guides us to the kingdom of God on earth. Because we are members of the Lord’s community we all share the Lords ministries.
