Marcel Breuer
Marcel Breuer was a famous Hungarian-American architect and designer who helped start the principles of the international style. Marcel was born in Pécs, Hungary on May 21, 1902. He was the son of Jacques and Franciska Breuer. Jacques Breuer was a middle class doctor in Pecs, which was considered a decent job at the time. At 18 years old, Marcel began to have thoughts of becoming a sculptor. Marcel went to the Art Academy in Vienna and shortly after realized the teaching there wasn’t what he preferred. Later on, Breuer heard of a new school of arts, The Bauhaus, in Weimar, Germany. Breuer succeeded at Bau
