In this report I will talk about what made his life so great, I will talk about his accomplishment and his failures, I will tell about his childhood and his manhood. Robert E. Lee was the confederates greatest general and one of the greatest generals of all time, he was a intelligent person, with a life full of achevments. The family history of Robert E. Lee starts with his father, General Henry Lee, also known as “Light-Horse Harry”. Robert E. Lee was married to Mary Randolph Curtis Lee. She was born is 1806 in Alexandria Va. She was daughter of George Washington Parke Curtis, the adopted son of Washington. In 1831, she married Robert E. Lee. Mary Randolph Curtis Lee died in Lexington Va . on November 6, 1873. Robert E. Lee had 7 children with Mary Curtis Lee. They had 3 son Curtis, Rooney, and Robert Jr. and Four daughters Mary, Ann, Agnes, and Mildred. Robert E. Lee went to West Point miliary academy. While he was there he majored in engineering. He distinguished himself in both scholastics and marital exercies. He was there for three years. He started there in 1826 and graduated in 1829.
