Spanking
Discipline is helping children develop self-control, setting limits and correcting misbehavior, and is encouraging children, guiding them, helping them feel good about themselves, and teaching them how to think of them how to think for themselves. Spanking is not a good form of behavior. In fact, it does not teach children how to change what they do, as god discipline should. Some say that spanking is easier than any other form of discipline, but it is not. Children who are hit, often cry louder than before they were spanked. Spanking often leads to more misbehavior. You may notice the child is good for a little while after being spanked, but then revert to their old ways.
Hitting a child in any way is always harmful. It threatens a child’s basic trust in the world, presents children to unnecessary risks, impresses their fragile psyches in negative ways and makes them angry, resentful, and even more likely to consider violence a legitimate way to resolve conflict.
