Rhetorical Analysis Of “Flying The Friendly Skies”
The title for this editorial seems to be chosen in order to show the audience that in fact the skies are not very friendly. In a matter of sarcasm she tells us that United States airlines are indeed to be one of the safest places in the world to fly. Yet after September 11, those kinds of titles went down the drain.
She mentions that most of us had no quarries about flying in what is undoubtedly a “high speed tube of metal as a form of transportation”. She also says that America knew about high jackings and crashes but they were so “few and far between” that everyone sort of disregarded them.
