Jeffrey Dahmer and Sigmund Freud

    Jeffrey Dahmers’ childhood comprised of feelings of loneliness and unwantedness. Dahmer was so neglected by his parents that they did not even realize that he was an alcoholic by age 12. When he was 18, his parents were on the verge of divorce, living in separate parts of the large family home. Neither bothered to inform Jeffrey when they moved out, simultaneously but separately, to get away from each other. Jeffrey woke up one day to find that the rest of his family had disappeared, leaving him with the house and no means of support. It was shortly afterward that he committed his first murder. Dahmer came from an affluent family, but his mother was a borderline psychotic. His father, a scientist, spent little time at home.
