My trip to St. Andrews, Scotland, was an experience unlike any other experience in my life. Going, I didn’t know quite what to expect. I did expect Scottish life to be somewhat different. However, I was surprised at just how different it was.
I had many memorable experiences during my trip to Scotland. I loved just listening to the Scottish people talk; listening to their occasionally incomprehensible accents and their never-ending supply of wonderful tales was mesmerizing. I enjoyed the relaxed lifestyle and kind, fun-loving nature of the Scottish people. I adored the openness and unity in Scotland, and especially how I had to wait for pedestrians to get out of my way at the 1st and 18th holes of The Old Course before taking my next shot. I trembled on the edge of my seat while driving through little Scottish country towns, marked by their beauty and their simplicity, on a tiny road where certain accident seemed to await us at every turn.
