Frisbee
One of the oldest fads today is Frisbee. The Frisbee is a plastic disk the size of a plate at about 9”-11”. It weighs between 2.5 to 5.6 ounces. It is usually thrown with a flick of the wrist. By throwing it this way it creates a clockwise spin and a forward motion. By changing the way you throw the Frisbee it can curve, hover, flip, or even be thrown in a straight line. The Frisbee is a staple of collage life. People go out to the park and play games like ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee golf, or just play catch. Throwing disks, like Frisbees, have been around for many years.
Throwing disks have been around since ancient Greece. Events such as the discus were played in the Olympics. Frisbee though, didn’t catch on in the US till the 1950’s. It’s debatable who first invented the Frisbee though. First, a few Yale students began by tossing
