El Grande De Coca-Cola
The play, which is being reviewed in this paper, is the madcap comedy El Grande De Coca-Cola. This comedy was performed entirely in easily understood Spanish and was viewed on Tuesday at 8:00pm in the New Theater. I drove home from the Indiana State New Theatre's production of El Grande de Coca-Cola with a full joyful heart feeling that comes from having seen a good show with a moving message. I was not alone in appreciating this show, as evidenced by the lengthy ovation. This play was however difficult to understand due to the extent of Spanish spoken throughout. It seems to have been a comedy that would be acceptable to any and all types of audiences. In particular, several of Pepe Hernandez’s lines made him sort of the master of ceremonies of everything.
