Major Essay “Animal Farm” By: The Man Animal Farm by George Orwell served as an allegory for the Russian Revolution of 1917. “Manor Farm” (which is later re-named “Animal Farm”) represented Russia during the Russian Revolution. The surrounding farms in the novel can be compared to countries surrounding Russia. In this novel the animals are trying to overthrow the humans after years of being mistreated.
