America, Becoming A Country Through Invasion “Warpaths” by Ian K. Steele, is the book I chose to read for my book report. “Warpaths” discusses the invasions of North America and the struggles that went on so that Europeans could gain control of the “New Land.” The book is broken into three main sections; Bases for Invasion, 1565-1684,Colonies and Tribes, 1687-1748, and finally Empires, Colonies, and Tribes, 1784-1765. In the course of my essay I will go through and discuss the strengths and weaknesses in each section. He presents a new and radical view of how things took place and the reasoning behind the events that took place.
