Moralizing Violence
It appears some people think it is OK to beat your wife or husband if they cheat on you, and some people think this is a horrible idea.
Well, what is legal is not always moral and what is illegal is not always immoral. In essence, the reason we have laws that say beating someone up for any reason other than self-defense is illegal, has absolutely nothing to do with morals, but rather it has everything to do with maintaining order in society. That is secular law right then and there. Secular law is not based on morals period. It is about maintaining order and stability.
