Christianity and Islam have many things in common. Both Religions hold Jesus dear to heart. Both are monotheistic faiths as well as missionary religions. Both are a religion of peace despite what believers of each faith do.
To understand why Christians and Muslims are such competitive religions one must learn from their history. Christianity is in a direct sense an offspring of, Judaism because Jesus and his immediate followers were Jews living in Palestine and Jesus was believed by his followers to have fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah. Christianity from its beginnings was a missionary religion. Its early missionaries spread its teachings. The most notable of the bunch was St. Paul was spread Christianity in Asia Minor, Alexandria, Greece, and Rome. Missions have remained a major element in Christianity to the present day. In Christianity, Jesus is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and all three are one. Although this ideology is not clear cut nor is it anywhere in the Bible Christians rely on faith and the teachings of Paul for this idea. The holy book in Christianity is the Bible. The Bible is composed of the New Testament and the Old Testament. Christians also look towards gospels and other book
