Drugs have been an ongoing issue since drug testing started in the 1980’s. A short time ago at the Common Wealth Games there were countless drug allegations towards Australia, while back in Australia during the Tri-Nations Rugby Series it was found that Ben Tune had unknowingly been administered a banned substance to treat an infection, and missed a few Super 12 rugby matches in case he got drug tested and banned the sport. In sport athletes will go to any measures to win even if it means harming themselves, by taking banned substances such as performance enhancing drugs.
What are Drugs?
Drugs are chemical substances which, when introduced into the body, can alter the biochemical systems of the body. Drugs are designed to kill infections and disease, instead some athletes use drugs to improve their abilities in a certain activity.
