School Prayer
Most people feel that going to school is about learning. The state and local school districts control what the curriculum will be in public schools. They control what will, and will not be taught in schools in their districts. For example they decide on everything from Math and English subjects to State History and Physical Education topics. What they do not teach about is religion and prayer. Some people feel that school prayer should be brought back into schools and practiced as part of the education process. I feel that prayer should be taught and practiced, but at church and at home not in public schools. I am not a follower of a particular religion and I do not attend church. For those people that do attend church and practice different religions I think it’s great that they do so, but not in public schools where there are so many different types of people and beliefs.
