words? What are reactions to slogan? Does it make you question your freedom, or does it make you feel confined to the world around you? These are a few of the reactions that crossed my mind as I read this , “1984” written by Orwell. This novel raises a lot of issues everyone should have but how true is that in reality? Are we not

Orwell drives us to reflect upon the world around us, as this brings up issues that are still evident in our today. In Winston’s world, there is no privacy, no free will, no choices, everyone is monitored day and night by devices such as telescreens and hidden microphones. This society displays a threatening projection of the totalitarian system of the future. It is a society that is not unlike the tyrants of the 20th century. Today in our society, people take and freedom as a right, a privilege that being controlled in any way?
