As a cross-dressing romantic comedy, Some Like It Hot subvert gender distinctions and stereotypes, as man pretend to be a woman. Cross-dressing provides a comic entertainment and is a socially acceptable medium for transposing gender roles . The role of comedy in this exaggerates the situation, the language, action, and characters.
Historically, women dressing up as men had more profound implications in gender-bending comedy, as it is more believable, and the patriarchate in society- being a man have more advantages than woman. These perspectives change until the publication of Some Like It Hot, while man disguise woman is not a clown.
The diegesis of Some Like It Hot is very attractive. It presents opposing themes; highlights the film's narrative; uphold exclusive binary categories of social identity, such as male and female, rich and poor, good and evil . It also suggest that not only the heterosexual creating the couple. This is story about two musicians, Joe and Jerry, who witnessed the Mafia murdered their enemies. Joe and Jerry dress up as women to escape the gangsters. They change their names to Josephine and Daphne, and join a girl band bound for Miami, where most of the events happen there. Joe falls in love with Sugar,
