Abortions
Introduction
Perhaps one of the most controversially issues that woman face in today’s society is abortions. Basically, a woman finds herself unexpectedly pregnant and decides she, or she and her partner, are unable to bring a child into the world. She is left with two options, to place the child up for adoption after birth or to abort the pregnancy. Today I am here to present an open-minded seminar on the facts of abortions. There is no intention to alter your opinion on the topic, just the hope to be able to make you understand the complete story of abortions, through information that you may not have been aware of before.
What is an abortion?
An abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by loss or destruction of the foetus before birth. It can be either spontaneous or induced and the latter is an act with many legal and ethical ramifications. Spontaneous abortion occurs on its own as a result of natural causes, widely known as a miscarriage or stillbirth. Whereas, induced abortion are the direct result of a medical procedure intended to end a pregnancy prematurely. Most abortionists will preform this medical or surgical procedure between the sixth and twelfth week of pregnancy, this differs from one country
