What is the Nicene Creed
The Nicene Creed is a prayer that we speak to proclaim what we believe in regards to our faith. The definition of Nicene Creed ‘is the formal summary of Christian beliefs promulgated at the council of Nicaea in 325 AD’. The creed states all the main teachings of Catholicism in a simple manner that is easily understood.
PART 1
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
Catholics believe that there is no more than one God. Rather than other religions such as the Ancient Greeks that thought of Gods as guardians of different aspects of life, such as love and war, water and sun.
God produced all things that’s why he is referred to as father. He created things that we can see with our eyes and things we can’t such as feelings, emotions and personalities. The almighty states his power i.e. the supernatural

the only Son of God,
