The Warsaw Pact was a military alliance of the Eastern European Soviet Block countries intended to organize against the perceived threat from the NATO alliance. The Eastern Block members were: Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, East Germany, Poland, the former USSR and the former Czechoslovakia.
