Flogging

    The question of how to punish criminals so it will eliminate or reduce crime is controversial. This question continues to cause debate among those who argue for stricter enforcement of sentences and tougher punishment, and those who argue for increased rehabilitation and alternative sentences. The question that needs to be answered is what can we do to ultimately reduce or eliminate crime? Should the prison sentences be harsher? Should criminals be sentenced to rehabilitation? Should flogging be brought back – and if so, how will that help to prevent crime, because after all, that is what needs to be done. After sitting down and thinking about the question – why should we bring back flogging, I have come up with three reasons why we should bring back flogging.
