Boys in the Hood
In the movie, “Boyz in the Hood”, there were many social issues that were talked
about. The ones that I will be talking about are genocide, friendship, and the cycle of
violence.
Genocide was a topic that was brought up and shown throughout the movie. The
type of genocide that was focused on in this movie was black people killing each other.
The community was to blame for many of the killings. As seen in the movie, there was a
gun shop or a liquor store on every street corner. This obviously would promote death.
For the most part that is what the stores did. The gangs would go out and buy the beer
and the guns, and then use them for themselves or on other black peopl
