The New Generation: An Analysi
In “Nowhere Man” Pico Iyer argues that today there is an “entirely new breed of people”. These people are known as the “transcontinental tribe” constantly traveling from one country to another, visiting friends, family, to go to school or even to learn about a different nationality. Iyer also mentions, not only how fast this new breed of people is multiplying, but also how easy and affordable it is to become a part of this new “transcontinental tribe”. This type of lifestyle also sets an unprecedented sense of freedom and mobility. Iyer also argues that “nowhere is foreign to us”, everywhere we travel still seems to be a bit of familiarity. Every country has sushi, Thai restaurants, and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
