Definition of Music
3000 years ago you might be able to hear primitive humans banging on handmade drums and chanting to gods and deities. Today, radios and televisions play metal, rap, classic rock, jazz, blues, punk, pop, and the list goes on and on. There are even “music reality” shows on television. Clearly, the definition of “music” is something that is ever-changing and evolves as fast as the human race. Music has a different meaning to each individual person making it almost impossible to pinpoint a definition. Although it is almost impossible to define, music’s different meanings can be generalized and explained as opinions rather then fact.
Now, I don’t want you to think I don’t know what I’m talking about so I’ll go into a short history lesson on myself. I took piano lessons as a child.
