Alcohol use by teenagers
Alcohol use by High School and middle school or Junior high school kids is on the rise. Many different reasons are blamed for this reason, parents, peer pressure, or just because the students want to escape their every day problems. The numbers for High school Seniors was at a all time low but started to increase in 1992. The number of High School students who admitted to consuming five or more drinks, which is considered binge drinking, went from a all time high in 1980 of 41% to a low of 28% in 1992.
