You’re driving to the beach for the weekend with some friends and there is only one thing that could make the moment even better – a great song. As you search the radio stations, you have a tough time finding anything worth hearing. You search your favorite stations to find that the exact same song is playing on three out of your four favorite stations. The rest of the stations play songs that you have heard hundreds of times in the last week. As you go through every station for the second time, you realize that you won’t find anything good so you turn back to the song that you’ve heard over a million times already. Music is, of course, a great source of entertainment and relaxation, but without variety music loses its power and meaning. When we listen to the radio we hear the same songs over and over.
