Globalisation is often referred to as a ‘dirty word’ in urban environments around the globe because of its negative impact on urban development. Globalisation affects many urban environments in many ways, however the emergence of negative aspects have given some the reason to associate globalisation as a detrimental and sometimes destructive process.
