Uniform Policies
People have been advocating individuality and self-expression in America for ages now. As time goes on, the importance of fashion increases and the yearning for young women to show off their styles intensifies. We, as a new generation, have been told to make use of our freedom and be unique, yet many schools are requiring uniforms, which seem to silence a child’s desire to stand out. I believe that there are some members of the Mayfield faculty who are overly enforcing the uniform policy to the point where girls constantly want to bend the rules as a sort of statement against them.
