The results were as follows;
Vol. Of ThiosulphateVol. of acid (cm3Vol. Of water (cm3) Time 1 (s)Time 2 (s)Time 3 (s)Average (s)Rate (s-1)
From these results, I can determine whether the experiment was a success and whether I can learn from my mistakes. All decimals have been rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.
To make the experiment fair, there was only one variable. This was the concentration of the Sodium Thiosulphate solution. All the experiments will be conducted at room temperature because temperature affects rates of reaction.
The person watching the lines should have the timer, otherwise there could be a time lapse between seeing the lines disappear, telling the other person to stop the clock, and them eventually stopping it.
I predict that the more Sodium Thiosulphate there is, the faster the reaction will be. This is because it is a larger concentration, and so there
