    Introduction John Fitzgerald Kennedy was elected the 35th president of the United States and inaugurated on January 20, 1961. He was the youngest person to ever be elected president, the first Roman Catholic president and the first president to be born in the 20th century. Kennedy was assassinated on November, 22 1963 in Dallas, Texas. Though the assassination occurred before Kennedy could complete his third year in he still had a great impact on the United States, and the world. Early Life John Fitzgerald Kennedy, or Jack as he was sometimes called, was born on May 19, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He was the second of nine children of Joseph Patrick and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. Two of his brothers, Robert and Edward, also entered politics. The Kennedy’s were a wealthy family, by the time Joseph Kennedy was thirty he had made a fortune through business ventures and investments. When John was thirteen he attended Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut, but he got sick and never returned. Later he attended Choate Preparatory School in Willingford, Connecticut and graduated. In 1935 he attended Princeton University, but again he got sick and had to leave school.
