Greenspan

    Some may say Alan Greenspan is the second most powerful man in the world, today. And the only thing he does is balance the U.S. economy between boom and bust. “A mere word from Greenspan can cause the stock market and the dollar to rise and fall.”(BBC News, Pg. 1) The U.S. market and economy are controlled almost by one man, Alan Greenspan. Alan Greenspan is currently the chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank. “ Officially, Mr. Greenspan is just one of twelve members on the Federal open Market Committee, but it seems his voice is herd above the rest”. He sets the tone for the topics of discussion, and has also been known to sway even the overall decision. He is no stranger of adapting, he is currently in his fourth four year term as chairman of the Federal Reserve.
