This is the pattern that fibonacci numbers follows. These numbers are used in many things and aren’t even noticed. Some examples of how fibonacci numbers can be used or different types of fibonacci problems will be discussed in the next few paragraphs.
One of the fibonacci numbers that I came across on the site was one called the Making a beeline with Fibonacci numbers. In this problem you there is a bee hive where there are only two entrances, cells 1 and 2. The bee hive only moves to the right so the problem is that you must find as many different routes to get to the next cell.
There is one way to reach cell one 1 and that is through cell 1, to get to cell 2 you can go through cell one, 12 or directly to cell 2, since cell 2 is also an entrance. To get to cell 3 you can go 123 or 13 or 23 so there are three possibilities. To get to cell 4 there are 5 possibilities, they are 1234, 123, 134, 234, and 24. You might say that you can go 2134 but remember the cell only moves to the right. And to get to cell 5 there are 7 possibilities, they are 12345, 1235, 135,
