What is paradise? Paradise is a state or place of beauty, bliss, or delight, heaven. To me, paradise is found at twenty-one degrees North and one hundred fifty-six degrees West, in the Pacific Ocean. Paradise is Maui, Hawaii, my favorite place to visit. From the moment I wake up to the last few minutes of my day, I am always overwhelmed with the majestic surroundings. From the scenic volcanoes to the picturesque coral reefs, Hawaii is the ultimate place to experience. In the morning, after I awaken, I put on my freshly made orchid lei. I enjoy smelling the sweet, floral aroma all day long. I walk out to the beach. The warm, soft sand is brownish-tan in color, and it feels so good when my feet sink into it. I love hearing the brilliantly blue ocean calling out to me with its soothing voice. The beach also has a very distinct smell, the mixture of tropical tanning oils and the salty ocean water. Going in the ocean is so relaxing, especially when the water has perfect temperature. When I go snorkeling in the coral reefs, I see the most vividly colored tropical fish.
