School Vouchers
Some kids today don’t even know how to read, much less use proper grammar when writing a paper or even a sentence. 40% of United States students read below their basic reading level. The public school system for the most part has been a failure to the children and the parents of the United States. The availability of school vouchers will end the problem of overpopulation and the limited learning in public schools.
It is obvious that the education of children in the United States has been an increasing problem like Social Security, yet all politicians can do is “talk about it.” Nobody wants to take action and fix the growing number of young children that still can’t read at a “basic level” in fourth grade. Since 2001, President Bush has proposed budget increases for education. “President Bush’s fiscal Budget for 2004 includes 756 million of school choice programs” (Armstrong Williams). The most debated solution to the problem of the public school system has been to offer school vouchers.
