Universality and Our Cradle To The Grave Welfare System
Canada’s Government should maintain supporting the availability of social programs to all citizens of society, by increasing the proportion of salaries that is given to income tax. On this particular issue an individual could highly disagree with these circumstances, because they feel they should not have to shell out for people’s needs that are made redundant and choose to stay there. On the other hand a person with no financial or medical needs may look on the positive side of this situation and may see it as helping someone in need who needs medical or financial help. However, I do believe that Canada should continue to support the universality of social programs even if it means having to increase our income tax by a few dollars. Our nation can no longer meet the expense of the wide social safety net we have come to rely on. Everyone should be treated equivalent regardless of his or her financial state, and should have access to all of the same advantages, thus increasing ambition to pay the extra money for these benefits.
