Advert
This advert is trying to get people to buy home insurance from Direct Line, either over the internet of on the phone. The advert is set in a house and there’s an actor telling you about how good the policy is. The camerawork and continuity editing makes the sequence very smooth and seem very calming. Every thing is normal until he say’s that “it will cover you against any little accidents”, then the ceiling falls in, there’s water every where the house basically falls apart. In this sequence the camera is very shaky like it being filmed in an earth quake, the editing is fast as well with lots of quick shots of everything that’s going wrong. The contrast between the two extremes of camerawork and editing help the actor and set to convey the message that you never know when something bad could happen to your house.

This music video starts off backstage of a concert; people are running around getting ready. The camera follows the main singer around but keeps zooming in on other people that are backstage. This long take is to build suspense with the intro of the song. Ther
