Knockout! Should Boxing Be Banned?
Knockout!
Boxing is a controversial issue, which provokes a great deal of debate in society today; with the one argument for boxing to be made illegal and the other that boxing should be accepted as an everyday sport. You may think boxing is a relatively modern sport, well if you did you would be wrong. People fighting each other in a sporting situation started approximately six thousand years ago in Ethiopia where it then stretched to ancient Egypt, and then finally throughout the Mediterranean area became introduced. Even though boxing was not made an Olympic sport until 688 B.C. If you have ever wondered where the boxing ring came from well it was surprisingly invented by the Romans rather than using chalk on the ground to mark off a circle to fight in. From ancient times to modern day life boxing has not adapted much throughout the years, with the basic rule to knock your opponent out to win.
The rules of boxing are as follows; two men or women have to use their fists above the belt line to knock there opponent out. This may seem juvenile or stupid to some people but others take it very seriously as a sport. The boxers get a break between each round to try and recover what strength and motivation is left in
