Lord of the Flies
In the novel Lord of the Flies is a gradual lapse of the boys into primitive savagery. The chaos of this savagery would have occured whether it was Ralph, Simon or Piggy leading the group. It is only to a small extent the fault of Ralph's insufficient leadership qualities. Despite the few deficiencies in his leadership qualities he remains a strong leader and neither Piggy or Simon could have independently done a better job.
