Poem
Cleomenes was the youngest man to stand before to council of Cydon,
This man or shall I say mountain,
Towered over the rest of the council with ease,
Many rumors boasted him of being god’s descent,
For he certainly was Godlike in body,
And a voice this man had,
A booming voice that could subdue an Army if called to,
Physically Cleomenes was a god.
But often his ego got him into trouble.
“Brother’s, I call upon you this day to ask a favor,
A favor from the goddess Ahprodite’s own lips”
His voice boomed though the council.
“She has asked for me to save a maiden in great danger,
I would ask for a small crew,
for I shall need not many for this task” Cleomenes smirked.
“Ha!” a voice cut through Cleomenes plea,
“A favor of the god’s, asked of you?
Even better a favor of the great love goddess Ahprodite
Ha! I don’t believe a selfish word of it!”
It was clear by now the heckler was Deimas,
A man of very little trust,
A man full of hatred toward Cleomenes’ Accomplishments,
And Deimas was Cleomenes stepfather.
Cleomenes began to speak,
but the council was focused on the man walking to Cleomenes.
“Stop! Boy’s, Men, there should be no fight between you,
Deimas we all kno
