King Tut

King Tutankhamen became the pharaoh of Egypt at the extremely young age of 9, after his father, Akhenaten, died. After becoming pharaoh, King Tut quickly rejected his father’s evil beliefs and ways of running the government, and the young boy had a lot going for him. He should have been king for many years. But, his life was mysteriously cut short at the age of 20. I don’t believe King Tut died of any natural causes or accidents. I believe that King Tut was murdered. The deformations of Tut’s mummy made a possible murder an extremely convincing cause of death. Researchers first narrowed the suspects of murdering the pharaoh down to four close friends and relatives of Tutankhamen. These people were Maya, the treasurer, Horemheb, the commander chief, Ay, the prime minister, and his wife, Ankhesenamen. But, Maya was taken off the list of suspects when he was known to have put a lot of effort and grief into Tut’s burial, and was very careful about destroying written records of Tut’s tomb location to avoid tomb robbery. This means that there were four obvious clues that led me to believe that King Tut’s death was a plotted murder. Tut’s deformations, and his three suspects, Horemheb, Ankhesenamen, and Ay.
