    Three Types of Music “Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul." The author of this quote was correct in presuming that music is a source for inspiration, expression, and finding cures. Music, though containing different genres, is loved everywhere. Music speaks for itself and the person who listens to it. It has the ability to influence people’s attitudes and beliefs and the power to make words heard. Although, there are hundreds of different musical genres, three of them are considered to have caused the greatest impact, rocking and rolling the world by storm. The Earliest of the rocking and rolling movement was rock and roll itself. Rock and roll, which began during the late 50’s, outraged typical quaint parents, but was instantly worshipped by teens and young adults. As popularity skyrocketed in the US, Rock and roll became instantaneously adored in other parts of the world. It became an icon and symbol of the sixties era and youth.
