Welcome to the Inner Workings of My Mind... My values concerning: Sexuality When I hear the word sexuality, my mind immediately conjures up images of the human body in all of its naked glory. I think of a person who is completely in touch with what they want, need, and like, a person who is comfortable in the skin they are in. I then progress to the idea of two people, and it is here that I begin to realize the values that I hold when it comes to sexuality. Above all, I believe that anything sexual should honor one’s body and increase personal love and acceptance of oneself. Sexuality should increase respect and awareness of the intricate systems at work within the body, and should never degrade or shame. I do believe that it is important to explore one’s sexuality, as God made us sexual creatures. I also think that a person should be comfortable with themselves sexually before they venture into a sexual partnership. When someone does decide to explore a mutual sexuality with another person, I believe that it should only happen after the persons involved have gotten to know and love each other in every other sense.
